Fire Service
Starting Point...
Tyne and Wear Fire Service wanted a practical and engaging Coaching workshop for their Managers as part of their Engage programme.
What We Did...
We undertook research with a number of colleagues and subject matter experts from across the business. We asked them what they knew of coaching, how they had implemented this into their daily routines and any difficulties they foresaw when embedding this. We also collected some typical scenarios that would resonate with the target audience so they could see how they could use coaching skills in their role.

We designed and delivered several one day coaching workshops entitled 'Coaching as A Management Style' to Managers at all levels. This practical workshop focussed on the key skills of Coaching and the GROW model, with skills practice to consolidate learning.
The Impression We Left...

What our client said....

Footprint worked with us in the delivery of a ‘Coaching as a Management Style’ Module which formed part of Engage, our leadership and management training and development programme.  They collaborated  to develop the module which introduced the concept of coaching in an engaging and practical way.  Their delivery has been professional, and being mindful of the various learning styles, preferences of delegates and our operating context, they have received very positive feedback.  We have seen real evidence of the application of the newly acquired skills that delegates learn from the modules which is supporting our people to be the best they can be.
